Bareilly — A review meeting on the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) was held yesterday at the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Avinash Singh, along with other members of the Municipal Corporation’s NCAP committee. The meeting undertook a detailed review of the progress of works being carried out under the NCAP by the Municipal Corporation, the Public Works Department, and other departments.
The District Magistrate directed that all works sanctioned under NCAP be completed before the elections, and that no laxity be shown in the quality of construction work. He said regular coordination should be maintained with the executing agencies to ensure projects are completed in a time-bound manner.
The meeting reviewed the tendering process for sanctioned works, the date-wise progress of works initiated after tendering, the status of fund expenditure, availability of remaining funds, and the progress of pending works. The District Magistrate directed the concerned officials to take necessary action and ensure progress within the stipulated timeframe.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate (City) Avinash Tripathi, Additional District Magistrate (Finance/Revenue) Santosh Kumar, Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department Bhagat Singh, and other officials.
